CAIR caves!

From the Ace of Spades Headquarters, CAIR caves in on libel lawsuit. More here (link provided by Ace).

Excellent.

CAIR is like a number of Islamist organizations that are two-faced: they say one thing to the world, and another to its followers. They are like a pest, a parasite.

We hope this will dampen CAIR's litigiousness, and We also hope this will help others see the true nature of CAIR. The lawsuit's target was Anti-CAIR.

The above cartoon by Cox and Forkum is an excellent expose as to how CAIR operates, thinks, and truly is about. Like other Islamists, they attempt to use the laws, values, and resources of The United States against The United States. Good work, Cox and Forkum!

inna naHnu-l-a'lam.

At the end of the day, we just have to accept the fact that free societies which honor the rule of law have some inherent weaknesses. These vulnerabilities can, and will, be exploited by our enemies. These weaknesses are far outweighed by the moral, cultural, intellectual, economic and military strength which are the outcomes of our society, especially when compared to the structual weakness of an Islamofascist state like Iran.

A culture that can invent Madonna and the internet can also achieve military capabilities and moral resolve that our enemies cannot muster. Hijackings, IEDs, women and children used as suicide bombers -- these are a nuisance, but they are also indicators of the bankruptcy of the culture that must resort to such tactics.

Muslihoon, have you had an opportunity to look at the Iraqi documents?

Most of them have not been fully translated to English from the Arabic.

Michael: Good points. :-)

Lauraw: Last time I check the list of documents, there were only a handful, and it seemed bloggers were almost done translating them all. I went to check today and, my goodness!, there are lots of them.

The first time I went to the website, I downloaded a document and began translating it. My Arabic is weak, so it took me an hour to do two paragraphs. But it was quite damning: it was basically instructions on what materials were to be retrieved and hidden from UN inspectors, including any documentation about Iraq's nuclear and WMD programs, connections between government ministries and stations, and so on.

I am going to see now if there is anyone coordinating the translation effort, and whether there is or is not, I'm going to start translating some.

At the very least, when I'm debating with someone, I can say that I have read and translated original documentation implicating Saddam's regime with nuclear weapons or WMDs.

Thank you for mentioning it, lauraw!

CAIR wouldn't have half the influence it does if they didn't end up being the first group that the media rushes to for a "Muslim" reaction to events, stories, etc. In the first two years after 9-11, if I saw Ibrahim Hooper on TV one more time, I was going to throw up...
